Mission
Every great organization is built on a foundation of purpose and direction. Our mission and vision are more than just words on a page — they are our principles that shape our decisions, inspire our current and future team as we expand, and connect us with the people we serve. This page is dedicated to sharing this information with you, so you understand not only what we do, but why a Speech Pathologist Cape Girardeau Missouri at Speech Language Pathologist of Missouri LLC do it and where we are headed.
Before we share our mission and vision, Allison would like to share a personal story. When she was a little girl, a family member who was very close to her had a stroke, actually more than one stroke. She recalls family stories that were shared with her in which this person lost the ability to speak. He remained physically strong. Out of frustration this family member threw something at his speech therapist. Some patients may relate to this level of frustration; having something to say that makes perfect sense in your head, but unable to get the message to and out of your mouth to actually say it. The generic saying of “everyone deserves a voice,” hits very close to home. We imagine that most if not every great therapist has a personal story that impacts them to their core, inviting in a life long commitment to the profession. To add to that, Allison grew up in a very rural area in Illinois. Basic healthcare was about thirty minutes away and more advanced level care was located about two hours away from her hometown. Allison is very passionate that the level of care or expertise shouldn’t dictate by the area in which you live, but rather strives to provide you with the resources to receive the same level of care no matter where you are. Therefore, we saw the need to bring expert-level Speech Pathologist Cape Girardeau Missouri care to you with either mobile outpatient or telehealth services.
Looking forward into the future, and if I can dream on paper for a moment, I would love to see this company grow to include additional Speech Pathologist Cape Girardeau Missouri, occupational and physical therapies, possibly dietician, massage therapists, and possibly a physician. However, I place my faith in the Lord that He will guide me with this. His Ways are higher than mine, and His Thoughts are higher than mine. He can create things that I can barely dream about. I know it will be quite a journey. At the very least, I am following the current path as I surrender to Him and have started this business. The next steps are up to Him. Isn’t that exciting!
No matter how rural the area, we endeavor to provide ALL of Missouri with Speech Pathologist Cape Girardeau Missouri services at the highest level of evidenced-based service provision either with teletherapy or in-person mobile outpatient services.
